Why PurpurLab® ?

The royal colour purple (in German: Purpur) or magenta is the only colour which is not found within the sunlight spectrum.
Magenta is a mixture of the colours red and violet, which both limit the spectrum of visible light.
In its own magic way, this special colour symbolizes the “overcoming of darkness”, as described by Goethe in his theory of colours.

In the same way, the development of pigment preparations has a touch of magic about it.

Customers very often expect the achievement of the impossible.

For example, a particular colour shade might be desired without altering the technical characteristics of various materials by applying the pigment preparation. To meet these complex expectations is our commitment. Our dedication to this challenge is symbolized by incorporating the royal colour Purpur (German for purple) into our company’s name.

The Lab in our name suggests the sometimes arduous research and development work and the technical competence that our developments are based on. Intelligent solutions for difficult customer requests need to be developed and tested in our laboratory.
